The core of my artistic approach lies in the experience, exploration, and transformation of the human body. Everything involved in staging my photos—aerial apparatuses, light projections, body painting, fabrics, tights, or textures—serves a single purpose: to elevate and enrich the experience.
Each posture, each muscular tension, and each movement becomes a field of exploration for emotions and sensations, revealing the body’s intensity and fragility. Aerial experiences, for example, push the limits of movement by playing with gravity, while enveloping fabrics and tights alter the perception of the body, either enhancing its fluidity or constraining it to reveal new dynamics. Visual projections and body painting, meanwhile, transform the body into a narrative surface, where graphic and symbolic stories intertwine with the skin’s curves and tensions. These visual elements enhance the experience by layering meanings, creating a dialogue between the body and its environment.
Everything comes together to create an immersive, sensory, and visual experience where the body is not just observed but lived as a medium for expression and transformation. My work explores the human body’s ability to be a vessel for emotions and an endless source of experimentation. Each device or material used serves as an extension of this quest, revealing the authentic and essential nature of the body.
Why artistic nudity?
Artistic nudity is essential to my pursuit of experience. The human body, in its nakedness, is universal—a language stripped of artifices that invites a direct and authentic encounter.
In this simplicity, the body becomes a pure graphic space, where lines, curves, and shadows offer themselves as material for experimentation. Each movement and posture enriches the experience, transforming the body into an ever-evolving work of art.
Through nudity, I seek to move beyond aesthetics to conduct intense and authentic explorations. The body thus becomes an infinite space of expression, where every gesture, every texture, and every projection tells a unique story.
Artistic collaboration represents an ideal for me, where everyone benefits:
The model must feel respected and confident, knowing that they have the power to refuse any proposal or pose that does not suit them. Furthermore, they should be encouraged to share their ideas, as this dynamic enriches the collaborative work by blending artistic visions. It is essential for the model to feel free to express their preferences and concerns throughout the collaboration, ensuring a harmonious and creative working experience.
To achieve this, it is essential to establish open communication, so that all expectations, ideas, and concerns are clearly understood and considered. This allows us to work with transparency and avoid misunderstandings. The sharing of a common artistic vision or the willingness to develop a shared vision for the project is highly appreciated.
The model should also feel that their privacy and image are respected. This is fundamental to creating a working environment where artistic expression can thrive fully, in safety and confidence.
I want everyone to take the time to reflect on the sessions: on the preparation, the desired goal, and the means to implement it. On my side, I conduct research, do some DIY work, and perform numerous tests to be ready on the day of the shoot. This allows me to set up the necessary elements to achieve the previously defined objective. Good preparation is essential to avoid unforeseen circumstances and ensure a successful session.
Before any collaborative project, a video call or a meeting in a café will be proposed to discuss the session's flow, exchange expectations, anticipate the preparation as much as possible, and also get to know each other better and break the ice.
I work in an indoor space that I rearrange for the sessions, turning it into a studio. This allows me to create a dedicated space for photography, offering both comfort and functionality. The studio is equipped with a changing area and a place to take breaks, as well as water and restroom facilities on-site. These details contribute to providing an environment conducive to creativity and the well-being of the model.
A contract will be established for each session. This contract aims to guarantee the publication of photographs and protect the model's right to their image. The photographs selected for publication will be chosen together, taking into account everyone's preferences and consent. This ensures that the artistic work is carried out in a secure environment, respecting everyone's rights.
The presence of accompanying persons during the sessions is perfectly accepted, as long as it does not disrupt the photographic project. The goal is to maintain a calm and smooth working environment, while allowing everyone to feel comfortable.
Finally, given the projects I wish to undertake, I do not collaborate with minors.
Originally from Briançon, a mountain town in the Hautes-Alpes, I've made Lyon my home for about twenty years. It's in this uniquely charming city that my passion for photography took root. Lyon, with its diverse urban landscapes and rich cultural life, offers an ideal setting for a photographer, while providing the amenities of a large city, such as specialized shops, photo labs, clubs, and a varied cultural scene.
Since my childhood, photography has always been an important part of my life. Fascinated by this art from a young age, I've always had a desire to understand how it works—from the mechanics of the camera to the development technique. This thirst for technical knowledge has led me to explore various aspects of photography, constantly striving to improve my skills.
On this site, you will discover my photographic galleries, each representing a step in my artistic journey. These collections are organized by theme and reflect the humble approach I wish to share with you. You will find not only my work on artistic nudity and portraiture but also photos from my everyday life, travels, family, and various other projects, reflecting my personal vision of the world. This site is not just a showcase of my art but also a reflection of my life’s journey.
Photography, for me, is much more than a passion—it is a true quest. A quest to capture the moment, understand the light, reveal the soul of the subjects, and capture beauty in all its diversity. With this passion in mind, my work has evolved toward artistic nudity, a more intimate and profound exploration of the human body—not only as an aesthetic subject but also as a means of expression and a vehicle for storytelling.
On the technical side, I experiment with various equipment, always demanding quality. I started with a film SLR, then moved to a digital SLR. Recently, I switched to a digital rangefinder, rediscovering a new way to photograph. At the same time, I continue to use a 6x6 film camera for my black-and-white shots, particularly with the Mamiya 6 MF, a superb camera.
Recently, I joined the Imag'In association in Lyon to share with other enthusiasts and improve my practice, while also considering the possibility of organizing exhibitions. If you want to learn more about Imag'In and discover other artists and projects, feel free to visit their website.
